Treasurer of the Century Association, 1881–1884. He ostensibly resigned sometime between 1857 and 1860 and was reinstated in February 1876 with a new set of proposers, Gilbert M. Speir (either the father or the son), Francis F. Marbury, and William H. Wisner.
