Century Memorial
In his legal practice, Edward Liddon Patterson was for ten years partner of another well-remembered old-time Centurion, Silas Brownell,. His view of his own career, like that of many other professional New Yorkers, was touched with quite as much pride for military as for professional achievement. He won promotion under fire in the Spanish War, and served with the War Trade Board at Washington in 1917.
