Century Memorial

Peter Kemble, who came of an old New York family, was a well-known artist and decorator who quietly pursued his chosen career, seldom leaving the city, and never for any length of time, but was loved and respected by all who knew him for his modesty, conservatism and ability. He was one of those men who are of no less value because they make no great noise in the world, but do their duty in all the relations of life, and whose worth is only known and appreciated by a few. He met his death by an untimely accident, sincerely mourned by all his friends.
