Century Memorial
Carl Lincoln Schurz, son of that other well-remembered Centurion, Carl Schurz, had been associated with Edward M. Shepard in law practice in New York, had been attorney for the Legal Aid Society and New York counsel for the Hamburg-American line. He was a man of scholarly tastes and a well-trained mind; quiet in manner but inheriting many of the qualities of his distinguished father.
