Century Memorial

In the death of Francis Parker Kinnicutt the community lost one of its good citizens, the medical profession one of its brightest ornaments, and many men and women one of their best friends. An eminent practitioner, Professor of Clinical Medicine in the College of Physicians and Surgeons, attending and consulting physician in many hospitals, earnest in upholding the highest standards in his profession, and indefatigable in the advancement of medical knowledge, he died at work, a few moments after reading a paper before his professional brethren. New York is indebted to him, and to his late wife, who was Miss Eleanor Kissel, for their energetic services in bringing about the reorganization of the street cleaning department of the city and the appointment of Colonel Waring as Commissioner.
