Century Memorial
Lewis Livingston Delafield. [Born] 1863. Lawyer. For 50 years a leading estate counsel at the New York Bar; expert in setting up charitable trusts; adviser to charitable and educational institutions; active in civic reform and the Association of the Bar; hater of shams, impatient toward lesser breeds, his dignity and poise made him appear cold and aloof, though, as his friends knew, he was neither.
