Christopher Minot Weld, son-in-law of our well-remembered Centurion, Henry Rutgers Marshall, had seen service in high-grade engineering work throughout the world. He had been active in mining enterprises in Europe, China, Japan, Brazil, Cuba and India, as well as the United States.
