Century Memorial
John Christopher Schwab, the son of Gustav Schwab, was Librarian at Yale. He graduated there in ’86, became an instructor, and then Professor of Political Economy, from which position he passed to the headship of the university library. He was also an editor of the Yale Review, and the author of a financial history of The Confederate States of America and other works.
