Second cousin of Louis Comfort Tiffany

Century Memorial

Charles Comfort Tiffany, a son of Maryland, educated at Dickinson and Andover, fortunate in abundant opportunity for study abroad, an active, successful clergyman in Boston and New York, and an ecclesiastical historian of eminence, died in his seventy-eighth year, after thirty-two years of comradeship in this Association. To the end his high calling absorbed his time and energy; he was a devoted servant of the church and of humanity. Books, however, were his avocation, his social nature required the companionship of scholars and artists, and in his leisure time he was often in this Club, appreciated for the distinction of his manners, for his sympathy and good judgment in the many concerns of his fellow-members.
