Century Memorial
Alfred Pell was a son of Alfred Pell, for many years the manager of the Liverpool and London and Globe Insurance Company, and succeeded his father in that office. Later he became the manager of the Commercial Union Assurance Company of London. His extensive knowledge and practical ability were highly valued by his associates, to whom he was endeared by his sterling personal worth, the dignity and strength of his character, and his unfailing kindness.
