Elsworth Daggett was graduated from the Sheffield Scientific School as long ago as 1864 and had achieved high repute in the profession of mining engineer, which he long pursued in Nevada and Utah, during the celebrated days of the silver discoveries and the Bonanza mines. Late in life he made his home again in his old college town.
