Charles Wadsworth Camp’s journalistic career was spent mostly in the field of weekly and monthly magazines. Some of them he conducted editorially; for others he was an appointed home or foreign correspondent. This was his natural bent of literary work; his occasional novels and his one or two ventures into theatrical composition had only temporary success. Camp served as officer at the front in France, and turned his literary qualities to the published history of his regiment.
