Century Memorial
James Robison Burnet had been a member of the Association for only five years, and was barely thirty-six [sic: thirty-five] when he died. But in this relatively short life he had secured a sound education at the New York University, and as both lawyer and citizen had commanded the respect and won the confidence of this community. He had held positions of trust in great houses of finance, he had wrought earnestly for reform, and combined with his agreeable personality was a high promise of future usefulness which gave him the right of citizenship here.
