In his medical career and his social affiliations, George Rae Lockwood combined a brilliant mind with a most attractive personality. Professionally, his distinction in his chosen field of gastro-enterology was of the highest; outside his profession, he was a man of many friendships. To the medical board of Bellevue Hospital especially, he gave untiring service during many years.
