Century Memorial
William Henry Lawrence Lee was another of the Knickerbockers who are so seldom met in the New York to which the children of the East and the West and the South nowadays throng for the opportunity of a career. Born on Manhattan Island longer ago than the span of life allotted by the Psalmist, he graduated at the Columbia Law School and practiced law in the city throughout his lifetime. He will be remembered, both by New Yorkers and by the community of Bar Harbor, Maine, for his pioneer work in the development of that resort.
