Century Memorial
Frederick W. Kost was a skilful landscape painter; a close student of nature. He painted things as he saw them and was never led afield by any fancies of the day. He received medals of honorable mention at the Paris Exposition of 1900, the Buffalo Exposition of 1901 and the St. Louis Exposition of 1904. In the Century, he was a joyous addition to the anniversary celebrations.
