Century Memorial
Third on the list of architects whom death has claimed from the Century in 1918, James Barnes Baker contributed to his profession the Chamber of Commerce and other dignified commercial buildings, designed to house great banking institutions. A typical city clubman, a good sportsman, fisherman and golfer, he loved equally his native Fifth Avenue and his long and venturesome motor trips.
