Dr. Thomas F. Cock was one of the oldest, and, in the period of his active life, was one of the best-known physicians in New York. His father was a physician in New York for sixty years, and was at one time President of the College of Physicians and Surgeons. The son followed his profession here nearly as long, was connected with all the prominent medical societies, physician to the New York Hospital, at the Lying-in Asylum, Woman’s Hospital and Infirmary for Women. He was recognized as eminent in his profession, and as entitled to the highest respect for his estimable qualities as a man.
