Thomas B. Bryson had applied his engineering skill to solve some of the most puzzling construction problems of the day, among them the extremely difficult planning of the subway station at Times Square. His professional capacity in such achievements had been recognized by the entrusting to him of the personal supervision of the approach, entrance and exits of the vehicular tunnel to New Jersey.
