Century Memorial
Edward Slosson found time to adorn an energetic and respected professional life with the graces of scholarship and the refinement of artistic taste. His few but exquisite contributions to literature bear the stamp of conscientious work coming from a solid mind. His critical faculty was sure and fine; and the sincerity of his love for art manifested itself in the discriminating care that harked his selections, and the liberality with which they were made. While gratefully accepting his splendid gift as a lasting memorial of taste and generosity, we fell that this crowning proof of his attachment to the Century was not needed to confirm the place he will always hold in our affection and remembrance.
