Century Memorial
We have to regret the loss of a distinction equally bright, and of a companionship more familiar and useful, in the decease of Professor James Renwick, who joined the wisdom of a sexagenarian to the freshness and eagerness of youth. His scientific clearness, his full and ready memory, his combative decision and rough sincerity of manner, gave a zest to that frequent Club talk which we shall long recal[l], and often desire to hear again.
