Century Memorial
Burton Mansfield, a well-known Centurion of Connecticut, won distinction alternately as lawyer, banker, public administrator and churchman. He never relinquished his law practice, even after being chosen president of various banks and industrial companies, and during the same period he served fourteen years as the state’s insurance commissioner. Probably, as with many other men of affairs, his interest in church councils and canonical law absorbed his personal activities equally with his business affiliations. He was said to have attended every general convention of the Episcopal organization from 1898 to the present year.
