Son of (nonmember) Gideon Lee, mayor of New York City from 1833 to 1834; uncle of Charles H. Lee
Century Memorial
Gideon Lee was by reason of his residence out of the city, and his infrequent attendance of late years, but little known to our present members; but the tradition of him is that he was of the standard required of Centurions in the days when he joined their ranks; and we can only regret that circumstances have deprived us of his society for so many years.
