Archivist’s Notes
His memorial was published prematurely in the 1890 Century Association Yearbook; he would not die until several years later. A different man named Henry Harrison died in New York on 24 April 1889, and newspaper notices of that man’s death were likely misinterpreted as being for the Century member.
Century Memorial
Henry G. Harrison was a well-known architect, whose most conspicuous work probably was the cathedral at Garden City. His ability was well recognized, and he was respected by all who knew him.
