Century Memorial
With his life [referring to Alexander Ector Orr] may be placed that of Harris Charles Fahnestock, who died the day following, full of years and financial honors. He, likewise, was Director and Manager in many banks and railroads, being in his earlier days an active member of the firm of Jay Cooke & Company. He was a munificent giver to charities and churches, a vestryman of St. Thomas’s Church, a trustee of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
