John A. Dillon, at the time of his death the chief editorial writer of The Evening World, of this city, was a journalist of extended experience. He was the founder of The St. Louis Post and, successively, the business manager of The Post-Dispatch of that city, of The World of New York, and the Chicago Tribune. He was a graduate of Harvard, a man of unusual culture, and a writer of recognized ability.
