Henri M. Braëm was for many years Danish consul at this port, and was prominent in the business and social life of the city. For ten years he was a vestryman of Trinity Church, and was connected with many of the prominent institutions of New York. He had an agreeable personality, and at his country home in Lenox, and his town residence, displayed a liberal and attractive hospitality. During the latter part of his life he had resided in Vienna, where he died.
