Century Memorial
Charles White Watson was a good Centurian whose familiar face will long be pleasurably remembered. A Civil Service Commissioner under Mayor Strong, he fulfilled his office with fidelity, and afterwards continued active in movements for civic improvements and Civil Service Reform. He was a student and lover of the arts, a friend of painters and sculptors, and a man of many quiet charities: a lover of beauty—visible, moral, and spiritual.
