Century Memorial

The quick remarking mind and social readiness of Charles Gould—the brilliant fitful fascination of Mignot’s genius—the quick Kunze, rather clear in the “inspiring vision” of Art than strong with its “faculty divine,” whose modesty disguised his work—the impressive presence and vigorous honest breadth of character of Vanderpoel—all these personalities have wrought their works, and ceased to be a present influence among us.

Augustus R. Macdonough
