Century Memorial
Professor Austin Stickney was an accomplished scholar, for several years Professor of Latin, and afterwards Professor of Greek, at Trinity College. Delicate health prevented him from exercising fully in public his varied mental gifts, and necessitated his residence abroad for many years; but those who were honored with his intimacy recognized his learning, his taste in art, music and letters, and his pleasant social qualities which made him one of the most attractive of men in the society of his friends.
