Charles Henry Sheldon was born in Troy, New York, in 1841. His family soon removed to New York City and then to West Rutland, Vt., where Mr. Sheldon was associated with his father and brothers in the marble business until 1893, when he came to New York as lessee of the Carnegie Music Hall. In 1908 he went abroad, and died in England on June 1, 1910.
Mr. Sheldon was a quiet, genial man, kind-hearted and much liked by his tenants, employees, and acquaintances.
