No publisher in this country was more widely esteemed and, we may say, loved, than Frank Hall Scott, who was connected with the old Scribner’s and the Century magazine since 1870, and since 1892 was president of the Century Company. Honest, able, and sagacious, his balanced judgment was touched by kindness; and his domestic life was as happy as his business career was honored and successful.
