Harry Thurston Peck, professor of Latin at Columbia University for some thirty years, was a scholar of ability and an industrious and talented writer. Whatever he wrote he made interesting, as readers of the Bookman know. He was a kind friend to those who sought his advice in study, or his aid in financial embarrassment. Their sympathies should be extended to the distress and clouding of his last years.
