Century Memorial
Leonard Forbes Beckwith was an accomplished civil engineer, prominent in the social life of the city, and distinguished in his chosen calling, in which he was an authority recognized by those familiar with his work. He was a man of large wealth, which did not distract him from the enthusiastic pursuit of his profession; but in the later years of his life a mental affliction obscured his hitherto clear intellect, and involved him, before it was recognized, in embarrassments to which death came as a kindly relief.
