Wilton Lockwood was a delightful person and a fascinating painter, more especially of portraits. A student of John La Farge, his work received honorable mention in many exhibitions, and examples of it hang in public galleries. He was also an enthusiastic amateur of sea-fowl, and his wonderful collection of wild ducks and geese, at his charming Cape Cod home, will not be forgotten by those who saw it.
