Century Memorial
William G. Lathrop, Jr., was such a modest and unassuming man that only those who were favored with an intimate acquaintance with him could fully appreciate his sterling worth. He was a lawyer in large practice, a partner of our fellow-member, Silas B. Brownell, universally respected and trusted. He was a man of strong convictions, but of the kindest nature, and gifted with a fine sense of humor which made him a most agreeable companion. He was a trustee of Columbia College, prominent in church and educational work, and, in all the relations of life, filled well his part as an honorable and useful citizen.
