Century Memorial
Sheppard Homans was one of the best known and most highly respected citizens of this city. During his whole life he was prominent in connection with the large life insurance companies of New York, to the success of which his skill and fidelity largely contributed. He was an authority upon all the complex questions arising in the conduct of their affairs, and enjoyed the confidence of all entrusted with their management. He was a most estimable man, happy in his home, rich in the esteem of a large circle of friends, and he left behind him the record of a quiet, useful and well-spent life.
